Hunting Association of Serbia was founded on October 26th 1896.

Members of the Association

- 85.000 hunters spread over 227 regional association and hunting associations of Vojvodina and Kosovo and Metohija.
-P.E. National parks (Fruška gora, Tara, Kopaonik, Đerdap, Šara)
-Travel agencies and other enterprises specializing in hunting

Hunting Area

-Hunting Association of Serbia extends to the 6.5 million ha
- Regional hunting associations dispose of approximetely 90 % of all hunting areas
- There are 321 hunting grounds in total
- Regional hunting associations release annually into the hunting grounds about 250.000 baby pheasants, bred in 28 pheasant farms with the breeding capacity of 800.00 baby pheasants
- 24 enclosed hunting grounds of 55.150 ha in total
- About 250 hunting lodges

Activities of the Association

-Protection, breeding and sustainable use of game as partially renewable natural resource
- Conservation of the nature, improvement of the life environment and game habitats
- Development and improvement of the hunting
- Application of the Hunting Law provisions, international conventions and other regulations concerning hunting
- Monitoring the game status in the habitats, providing professional service to its members (monitoring, consulting and engineering)
- Permanent education of the hunters and providing them with all relevant information
- Encouraging the development of science in hunting
- Conference, seminar, and symposium organization
- Collaboration with kindred organizations, institutions and applied research.
